David Thompson is the CEO and Founder of Thompson Investing, an investment firm specializing in commercial real estate, private equity, and alternative assets. Since founding the company in 2016, David has focused on bridging the gap between sophisticated investors and high-quality passive opportunities.

With over 20 years of experience in high-tech management at Dell, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies, David brings a disciplined, data-driven approach to the alternative asset space. During his tenure at Lucent, he managed a $2.5B investment portfolio and successfully raised over $1B for acquisitions. Today, he leverages that institutional expertise at Thompson Investing, where he has partnered on 100+ syndication deals and invested over $350M in investor capital.

A graduate summa cum laude from Arizona State University with an MBA in Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, David is committed to transparency and alignment. He personally vets every deal and invests alongside his partners. He resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife and two daughters.
